【简单回顾】

1. other 另外的

只作定语，常与复数名词或不可数名词连用；但如果前面有the, this, that, some, any, each, every, no, one, my, your, his等时，则可与单数名词连用。

2. the other  两者中另一个

常与one连用，构成“one…,the other”;

作定语修饰复数名词时，表示“全部其余的” the other boys=the others

I have two bikes. One is black, the other is white.

我有两辆自行车。一辆是黑色的，另外一辆是白色的。

3. others 多者中剩下的部分

是other的复数形式，泛指别的人或物（但不是全部），不能作定语，构成some…others…

There are many people in the park. Some are running, others are singing.

公园里面有很多人。有些在跑步，有些在唱歌。

4.the others 多者中剩下的全部

是the other 的复数形式，特指其余全部的人或物

One man was arrested, but the others got away.

有一个人被逮捕了，但是其他人逃脱了。

5. another 三者（以上）另一个 指三者或三者以上中的任何一个，用作形容词或代词。

构成one after another(一个接着一个)

Buy two dresses and get another completely free.

买两条裙子，再买一条完全免费。
